Use, Collection, and Retention of Customer Information:
Northwest Georgia Bank (hereafter, known as "The Bank") collects, retains and uses individual customer information ONLY when we reasonably believe it would be useful, and allowable by law, to administer to our business needs in providing or making available products, services and other opportunities to our customers.
Maintenance of Accurate Information:
The Bank has established procedures to ensure that a customer's financial information is accurate, current and complete in accordance with reasonable business standards. The Bank also responds to requests to correct inaccurate information in a timely manner.
Limiting Employee Access to Information:
The Bank limits our employees to access personally identifiable customer information to those with a business reason for knowing such information. The Bank educates our employees so they understand the importance of customer confidentiality and privacy. The Bank also takes appropriate disciplinary measures to enforce employee privacy responsibilities.
Protection of Information via Established Security Procedures:
The Bank maintains rigorous security standards and procedures regarding unauthorized access to customer information.
Restrictions on the Disclosure of Account Information:
The Bank does not reveal customer account or other personally identifiable information to unaffiliated third parties for their independent use. The Bank may make names, addresses and other identifying information about selected customers available to our business partners who can provide a beneficial service to our customers. The Bank does exchange information with reputable reporting agencies to maximize the accuracy and security of the information or in the performance of bona fide corporate due diligence. There are, however, exceptions that we must honor on behalf of our customers:
- The information is provided to help complete a customer initiated transaction.
- The customer requests it.
- The disclosure is required by/or allowed by law (e.g., subpoena; the investigation of fraudulent activity).
Maintaining Customer Privacy in Business Relationships with Business Partners:
Whenever we provide customer information to a Business Partner, we insist that the Business Partner adhere to similar privacy principles for keeping such information confidential and not share the information with any other partner.
